L'art difícil de la composició / The difficult art of composition
Aquesta foto és feta pràcticament des del mateix lloc que aquesta altra, i forma part d'una de les meves rutes habituals. En aquella ocasió vaig pensar que una composició vertical podria potenciar la idea del camí que els porta al lloc. Avui, penso que la un marc horitzontal és més adequat per pensar en el ventall de possibilitats que la composició ens dóna.
Mal exemple, potser, per parlar de composició, perquè amb les presses per aturar el moment no vaig fixar-me que tallava el campanar...

This picture was taken from virtually the same place that this other one, which is a part of one of my usual routes. For this previous picture, I thought a portrait composition could promote the idea of the path that leads to the site. For the picture of today, I think that the landscape frame is more suitable to illustrate the broad range of possibilities that gives the composition.
Poor example, perhaps, because the anxiety to stop the time didn't allowed me to see that I was beheading the belltower...

Una estona de pau / A bit of peace
Ja vaig penjar un altre dia fotos del monestir de Sant Cugat del Vallès. La veritat és que és un lloc interessant per jugar-hi una estona amb la càmera. L'arquitectura, la llum i la vida a la plaça i als jardins proporcionen una bona pila de temes que canvien a cada moment.
Després d'una setmana ben atrafegada, una inesperada combinació de fets em va deixar una estona per fer-hi un volt. Vaig veure aquesta família que s'hi passejava amb la mateixa tranquil·litat, i no em vaig poder estar de treure la càmera...

This is not the first time that I show pictures of the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès. It's a really interesting location to play with the camera. The architecture, the lights and the life taking place in the surroundings provides an endless set of continuously changing subjects.
After a very busy week, an unexpected combination of events left me a while to take a walk. I saw this family walking with the same peace of spirit, and I could not resist the temptation of taking my camera...
